“Icons of Film”
a project of Just Imagine Creative Center

in support of Just Imagine Youth Programs and in recognition of the Traverse City arts community and film festival, we are having a “mask fundraiser” and will have 1500 each, hand-held masks of Marilyn Monroe & James Dean. With these masks, you will have a very cool artistic hand-held mask, sponsor incentives, photo opportunities, invitation to a "celebrity" party and ice cream social (plus free sundae!).. .and will be a big help in supporting our youth art programs. In additional, you will be a part of celebrating the arts and film in our wonderful community! Mask sugg. donation: $5-$10
Masks will be available the first week of July, by donation at specific sponsor locations as well as Just Imagine Creative Center, Cherry Festival and Friday Night Live ... through August 3rd.

Ice Cream Social: July 20 1-4 PM
Don’t miss this favorite family event! Make your own ice cream sundaes and mingle in the garden. Games and art project for the kids. $3 per person or free sundae with mask! at Just Imagine Creative Center.

“Celebrity” Party: July 26th 4-6pm (RSVP's appreciated)
Come join the fun! Dress up as your favorite celebrity or movie character and enjoy drinks, snacks, dancing, paparazzi & shmooze with other “celebrities”. $5 sugg. donation.

If you have purchased a Marilyn Monroe or James Dean “mask” and want to be a part of our photo opps, bring your mask and show up for the fun at the following locations:

photo opp Aug 1 6:00pm on the Beach ...behind volleyball courts, west of the Open Space
photo opp Aug 2 6:30pm front of Inside Out Gallery before their Burlesque Show at 7pm
(“mask” holders & “celebrities” release/waive all photo rights to Just Imagine.)

All proceeds to benefit our Teen and Youth Programs.

Summer Art Camps (multi-media/fine art) experience for ages 7-14.  “Exploring Creative Art”

includes watercolor, inks, t-shirts, collage, creative movement and pastels. Both 5 day camps feature environmental/critter themes multimedia extravaganza with new concepts too! – in a joyous space.  Daily demos and new techniques / fine art.

Camp #1 July 28th - August 1st
Camp #2 August 4th - August 8th

Camps will take place Monday – Friday, 10am-1pm.  Bring a sack lunch.
Instructor, Merrily Bauer has had 28 years of experience teaching art.
